Elk Mountain Ski Resort is 12 miles away, and we are surrounded by State Game Lands. Fishing and boating has been opened at Comforts Pond, and there are many other streams and ponds available for fishing.
Rails to Trails , a 32 mile scenic old railroad corridor, for ski-mobiling, cross country skiing, bicycle riding and hiking is 1 block away.
Florence Shelly Preserve, part of the Nature Conservancy, with walking trails featuring glacial ponds and bogs, is 1 mile north of town.
At Callender's Sugar House, cross country skiing and snow shoeing is available, over miles of country trails, with your equipment. The Callender family also taps and processes their own maple syrup as well as all kinds of homemade maple products which are available year round.
Lake Lorain as well as many other Golf courses are close by.
There are many nearby youth summer camps, and we are available for lodging while visiting the camps.
You can walk to Hobbs Country Market and Coffee shop for all your grocery needs or to enjoy breakfast and lunch.
Our fully furnished 2 story home has 5 bedrooms with queen beds, plus 2 twin beds and can sleep to 12. There are also Aero Beds available. It has 2 full bathrooms
The first floor of the home is offered as a smaller unit with 2 bedrooms (queen beds) and 1 full bath.
Both feature a fully equipped kitchen, large dining room, laundry facilities, large outside back deck, and plenty of private, off street parking. Each has a TV with cable and VCR. You only need to bring your clothing and personal toiletries. Towels and linens are provided.
We are a non-smoking facility, also pets are not allowed. Provisions for hunting dogs are available on premises.
